Call for Papers
In the new era and new journey, the world has entered a new period of turbulence and transformation, significant increase in instability and uncertainty, the governance deficit and trust deficit faced by human society are increasing unabated, there is still a long way to go to achieve universal security and common development. In this backdrop, emerging economies, represented by the BRICS countries -- Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa -- are leading the world to cope with the severe and complex international situation and the enormous risks and challenges that come one after another, and it is particularly important for emerging economies to achieve common global development. Development is the eternal theme of human society, and the global development initiative originated from China, but belongs to the world, which has received widespread support from the international community. We need to promote to build a new international system, and promote win-win cooperation, exchange and mutual learning among countries, in order to make Emerging Economies' Contributions to common global development, and provide the world with Emerging Economies' Plans and Emerging Economies' Wisdom.
To further gather forces from academia, politicians, industry and media to jointly discuss the development and cooperation issues of emerging economies, China Society of Emerging Economies, China International Culture Exchange Centre, Guangdong University of Technology will jointly host, and Guangdong Emerging Economies Society and others will jointly host “The 2023 Annual Meeting of China Society of Emerging Economies and the 11th Emerging Economies Forum” in Guangzhou from November 24th to 26th, 2023. The theme of this forum is “Common Global Development in a New Period of Turbulence and Transformation”. In order to enrich the content of the forum and better carry out academic exchanges, the call for papers is open to the public at home and abroad. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:
This Call mainly collects papers on the forum topics. The topics of papers include but are not limited to:
Topic 1: Global Industrial and Supply Chains Security and Stability and Common Development of Emerging Economies
Topic 2: The “de-risking from China strategy”of the US and the EU and the Reconstruction of the Global Industrial and Supply Chains in the New Period of Turbulence and Transformation
Topic 3: Cooperation between Digital China and Emerging Economies in the Digital Economy.
Topic 4: The Reconstruction of the International System and the Challenges of Emerging Economies.
Topic 5: Global Industrial Transformation and Opportunities for Emerging Economies
Topic 6: Common Global Challenges and the Development Impetus of Emerging Economies
Topic 7: Inclusive Global Rules and the Construction of Cooperation Mechanisms for Emerging Economies
Topic 8: New Globalization and Economic Governance of Countries along the “the Belt and Road Initiative”
Topic 9: Global Debt Risk and Prevention and Protection of Overseas Interests and Security Risks for Emerging Economies
Topic 10: The Change of Industrial Structure in the US and the EU and the Digital Transformation of the “the Belt and Road Initiative”
Topic 11: The Chinese Path to Modernization and Common Development along the “the Belt and Road”
Topic 12: Solidarity, Cooperation and Development of Emerging Economies in the New Period of Turbulence and Transformation
Ⅱ Essay Requirements and Statements
1.Essay titles are to be determined by authors themselves according to the topic scopes mentioned above.
2.Papers submitted must be original and unpublished.
3.Language: Chinese or English.
For format requirements, Chinese papers please refer to The Journal of World Economy or World Economics and Politics, while English ones please refer to China and World Economy.

5. Time: Please send an electronic version of completed papers to geescn@126.com during the period from June 16, 2023 to October 30, 2023, with the name of the document and the subject of the email as “EEF2023+Organization+Author+Paper Title”. The author's information should be written on the home page separately. In addition, please attach the author's resume (within 500 words) and a life photo separately for the compilation of the forum manual.
6. Statement:
(1) Since 2017, China Academic Journals (CD Edition) Electronic Publishing House has been given the rights to copy, compile, distribute and disseminate the full text of The Emerging Economies Forum Papers Collection digitally in CNKI and its other series of database products in order to increase the citation rate of works and the visibility of authors. Copyright royalties are paid in conjunction with paper remuneration (symbolic payment), and CNKI will issue a certificate of admission, which can be used as one of the important achievements of project conclusion, professional title promotion, and graduation of Ph.D. and postgraduate students.
The behavior of the author in submitting the paper to this forum and agreeing to include the collection of papers shall be deemed to agree to the above statement and accept papers that are only read out at the meeting.
(2) The Papers Collection does not charge any fees, including layout fees and review fees, nor entrust any intermediary or personal agent to solicit or examine manuscripts in any name. If any institution or individual steals the name of this forum for collecting contributions, charging fees and other illegal acts, please do not believe and report to the forum organizing committee or law enforcement agencies.
Ⅲ Evaluation Method
According to the principle of “fairness, impartiality, quality and superiority”, the Selection Committee of the Forum will organize experts on relevant fields to rank and make comments on all submissions anonymously (graduate papers grouped separately). Top-ranking papers will be recommended to The Journal of World Economy, World Economics and Politics, International Economic Review, Journal of International Trade, International Trade, International Economics and Trade Research, Asia-pacific Economic Review, South China Journal of Economics, Journal of Guangdong University of Finance and Economics, China and World Economy, Global Journal of Emerging Market Economies and other forums support journals to enter the review process with priority. The Organizing Committee of the Forum will invite excellent authors to give speeches.
